Admissions into the Professional Course At The Sierra Leone Law School
Applications for 2019-2020 academic school year admission for entry into the School for the professional course leading to the final examination for the completion of the professional stage should reach the Office of the Registrar not later than 31st May 2019. Photocopies of Certificates or certified true copies must be attached. All applications should be accompanied by the following:-
Three passport size photographs of the applicant;
Photocopies of all relevant degree, certificates or diplomas; and
Two stamped or otherwise prepaid self-addressed envelopes together with the applicant’s
telephone, fax, email or other contact details.
All applicants will be expected to attend an interview to be conducted by the Admissions Committee of the Schools at which they will be required to produce the originals of their degree certificates and/or
the transcripts of any relevant academic courses completed on which they rely for admission to the School.
Educational Qualification for Admission to the Law School.
“At least Third Class Honours Degree Awarded by the University of Sierra Leone or the holder of at least a Third Class Honours Degree in Law of a recognized University or other Institutions of Higher Learning of a Commonwealth Country approved by the Council of Legal Education or the holder of at least a Third Class Honours Degree in Law of a recognized University or other Institution of Higher Learning of a country with a Legal System Analogous to that of Sierra Leone approved by the Council of Legal Education”. Or holders of joint Honours degree for example B.A. Honours in Law and Politics, if they studied during their courses the core subjects in the entry requirements i.e. Equity and Trusts, Law of Contract, Law of Tort, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Land Law they could be
admitted into the School.
